Zebra Club

After seeing many folks in EDS communities online recommend it, I am giving Jeannie di Bon’s Zebra Club app a try. There is currently a discount available for annual subscription if you order directly from the Zebra Club’s website and use the discount code below (link).

To get the discount DO NOT click the link to buy through the App Store. Instead, click the “web portal” login and proceed from there to purchase a subscription.

I am still doing Pilates once a week with a private instructor who has training on hypermobility, but I need more that I can do every day. I am hoping working through the Zebra Club classes will give me the resources to do more frequent practice to get my joints to figure how how to move with safety and stability.

There are several different types of classes available, including meditation, sleep and fatigue, strength and connect, and stability. So far I finished the “Foundations” series which is a series of ~10 minute classes going over the basics of breathing, relaxation, and proprioception, designed as a starting point to anyone new to the program. I found them useful even though I am experienced with techniques like yoga and Pilates. Jeannie brings an extra element of attention to the way your body may be reacting during certain movements that I’ve never had in any other training.

The app also has a ton of resources, including documents and presentations about hEDS and related conditions, which I am excited to read through.

If you are part of the Zebra Club already, please let me know how it’s been for you and if you have any tips for beginners.
